Submit Suspicious File

New viruses appear every day and it is very important to be protected from the most recent viruses. VirusRescue Research Lab issues updates of virus definitions base daily. We need your help, our dear users. We need to unite our strength together in order to fight the danger of new century. And you can help us and yourself by sending the files that you suspect to be virus-infected.

If you suspect that some file on you computer is a virus, but VirusRescue doesn't detect it, please do the following:

• Update VirusRescue.
• Check suspicious file once again.

If VirusRescue still fails to detect it as a virus:

• Zip suspicious file (if you don't have archiver program, you can find one at Cnet).
• Protect *.zip file with password "VIRUS". If a sample is not protected in this way, AV Scanners may detect and clean samples before they reach us.
• Send it as attachment to viruslab@virusrescue.com

Maximum file size: 1Mb

Our official response time for virus samples is 48 hours (excluding weekends). This time may be extended when samples need to be analysed by a senior researcher.
